Years of sun exposure, environmental stressors, and just plain genetics can take its toll on your skin. These factors cause deep lines and wrinkles, pigmentation issues, and skin laxity. Fractional CO2 laser can target all of these concerns.
Our Phoenix fractional CO2 laser system is one of the most powerful systems on the market. The technology of this laser is able to stimulate skin rejuvenation by treating small areas of skin, while keeping other areas of skin intact. This allows you to receive the best aesthetic result with minimal downtime.
ARE YOU A CANDIDATE FOR FRACTIONAL CO2 LASER?
Fractional CO2 laser is ideal for skin types I-III and some lighter skin type IV patients. This treatment is ideal for anyone looking to soften the appearance of deeper lines and wrinkles and improving the overall tone and texture to the skin. Fractional CO2 laser can be used to treat the face, neck, chest, arms, and hands.
THE BENEFITS OF FRACTIONAL CO2
The majority of patients see an increase in skin tone after their first treatment. The fractional CO2 laser penetrates down to the dermis, where collagen is produced. As the laser stimulates collagen production, you will notice a progressive improvement of your skin for up to six months after your last treatment.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE LASER TREATMENT
Fractional CO2 will improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles, scarring, pigmentation, and will also mildly tighten the skin. A topical anesthetic will be applied to the area prior to treatment. The treatment itself feels warm, with a mild sunburn sensation for about an hour after.
Fractional CO2 laser will help your skin regain its tone and texture, as well as reduce the appearance of wrinkles, acne scarring, and pigmentation. Patients will achieve great results with one treatment, but there are no contradictions in repeating the treatment. The number of treatments will depend on the extent of wrinkles, scarring, and/or pigmentation. Some patients will have this treatment done on an annual basis to maintain their results.
Immediately after the treatment, the area will be red and mildly swollen. There is a total of about five days of social downtime, where you will be red, swollen, and peeling. Patients can typically apply makeup and look presentable 6 days after the treatment has been done.
