Using Makeup Tutorial To Apply Makeup

Using Makeup Tutorial To Apply Makeup

We’ve all seen a tutorial that we absolutely can’t wait to try. It looks really pretty, we want to try it out and show the creator how much they inspired you…but there are a few things to keep in mind about your favorite makeup gurus.

First, a lot of times, the look that they are trying takes them a lot longer than it seems. Some of them also either pause their camera or fast forward it to save you time. So the first thing to do is not watch the tutorial on your phone. “How else am I going to get it done?!” This is when you take your makeup mirror to the desk, or if you have a laptop, take your laptop to the bathroom if you have the space. You need to be able to pause and backtrack when learning how to do a look. They also have already learned how to do their tutorial and that might make things go faster for them anyways. Again, you have to be able to backtrack and watch what they did.

Secondly, they may have better products, but all that you need is a good primer. If you can find a bright color for cheap, with decent pigmentation, you don’t need to have the bright colors from Mac. They’re good, of course, but not everyone can build up a makeup stash as extensive as the gurus in just a week or so.

Silver eyeliner can be a substitute for white eyeliner. I find it a lot easier to use a silver eyeliner than trying to track down a white one. There are plenty of inexpensive eyeliner duos that have both black and silver ready for your use.

Also remember that they usually have brushes. This doesn’t mean that you HAVE to have the exact brushes they do or any at all, but they help you a lot when you choose to do the makeup tutorial. You can usually find cheap but good brushes at Wal-mart and a few other stores.

Celebrity Makeup Trends 2010 – How to Get Smooth Lips Before Applying Lip Color

How to Get Smooth Lips Before Applying Lip Color

When applying lip color, you need a clean surface, just like when applying face makeup. It’s not hard to do this. You only need two ingredients. The first is a good lip balm. The day before, apply as much lip color as you want, to your heart’s content. They should be well moisturized before you try this. You can also use olive oil or vitamin e oil instead if you wish.

The vitamin e oil doesn’t absorb as well as the lip balm in some cases, however. Another good idea is to run hot water before your shower and apply the lip balm so that the steam makes your lips absorb the balm a little better. This also makes your lips softer quicker. Simply reapply after your shower.

Next, you need a clean, soft-bristle toothbrush. Preferably a new one. Very gently use the brush to slough off the dead skin that you might see peeling up. Be very gentle. This can take a few minutes. Don’t be rough—it can cause bleeding and your lips to get red and hurt.

After this, reapply the lip balm and then apply your favorite lip color. Your lips should be smooth and ready for application. This will help to prevent the color from getting stuck in the crevices of your lips too. You may need to reapply this for lip color that is extremely drying, but it benefits your lips so much this shouldn’t be a big issue. It may affect the color but having smooth lips that aren’t chapped and hurting is a lot more important than the color is.
